Along with business growth, Gate.io also launched Gate Learn - the crypto education arm of Gate Group in Vietnam to support blockchain education and adoption among Vietnamese people. In December 2022, Gate Learn sponsored the blockchain event hosted by Foreign Trade University and Vietnam Blockchain Association.

At the end of the year 2022, Gate Vietnam had a wonderful year-end event for the local traders, community partners, and all the people who have helped to make Gate Vietnam a success.

At the event, we reviewed Gate Vietnam's progress over the year, including Gate Charity, Gate Learn, and other initiatives discussed the future of Gate Vietnam and how it can continue to develop and support its local communities.

Turkey

According to the Gate.io Market Analysis report, Turkey is one of the most valuable crypto markets in the world, with 4.5% of its population having crypto investments. Also, according to data from Chainanalysis, cryptocurrency transactions increased by 1,500% from 2020 to 2021. This means that Turkey has adapted to crypto investment quite quickly. As Gate Turkey, we focused on growing the educated community and creating a more reliable investment area for our users.

In June 2022 Gate Turkey team attended an event in Turkey for the first time. We said that "Gate.io is in Turkey now" Making the opening speech at this event, our Country Head Kafkas Sönmez announced that Gate TR will be put into service within 6 months. And until the moment we successfully launched Gate TR, our marathon started that day.

We hosted more than 100 guests in our office throughout the year, and we made new collaborations from time to time while explaining Gate.io's goals and objectives.

We had 2 meetups with KOLs in our Turkey office. The first one is Happy Hour with Gate TR, September 16th. As our first meeting event with Gate TR, we hosted 23 guests in our office. We made a preview of the VIP event that we prepared for our users in Turkey. and we talked about Gate.io's Turkish market plans. The second meeting event on November 26th, named Winners Club (Half Marathon), was held with the participation of 14 micro influencer guests. We told micro influencers to grow their business with Gate.io and go for a marathon together. The main purpose of this meet-up is to strengthen the crypto community in Turkey and support new players entering the market.

Gate TR Press Launch

After 6 months of hard work, we launched Gate TR in Blockchain Week with Gate.io Founder&CEO Mr. Han Lin and Gate Turkey Country Head Mr. Kafkas Sonmez's speeches. Our top priority is safe crypto investment for all users, so we have spoken to the participated press and KOLs about Gate TR's security measures and reliable sides. After this launch, we had pleasant moments with the event participants by organizing an after party with the Blockchain Week organization.

As we bid farewell to 2022, we celebrated the arrival of the new year by getting together with our KOLs and team with a dinner organization. Our 2023 slogan is ready: Let's Make This Year a GateYear!

India

According to various reports, India is emerging as one of the fastest-growing web3 nations in the world, hosting about 500 startups in the ecosystems, trying to harness the potential of the technology. On 4th December we organized a web3 event in Jammu, India with several different topics, letting India crypto traders be aware of blockchain and Gate.io in this 3 hours of event.

Starting from formal talks about their understanding of blockchain and crypto, we get to know the journey of crypto in India; Then Gate.io platform and its services are discussed and we collect valuable suggestions and user feedback directly from our users. And last, a conversation on trading Crypto, CEX, DEX, and other implementations of blockchain were brought to the table.

Africa: Blockchain & cryptocurrency, What can they contribute to an emerging Africa?

Burkina Faso

We partnered with Aristide Zinsou and Sozame, both of them are crypto influencers and entrepreneurs. On Saturday 16th July and Sunday 30th October, we organized two blockchain conferences, introducing blockchain technology from scratch to Burkina Faso.

The events' goal was for all the members from our communities to meet together for the first time, our members are talking to each other in the group every day, the offline events make them more close and connected. At each conference, we got more than 200 participants. Gata.io successfully introduced blockchain and provided information on how to get a job in crypto. It was also an intensive workshop on how blockchain and crypto works, and how to become profitable, sharing experience, knowledge and doing activities together, such as a football match between participants.

This was a wonderful opportunity to work on the best recipe to engage and onboard with members of the African speaking countries community and we will host more and more events in 2023!

Cameroon

On Sunday 11th December 2022, we organized an offline event in Douala, a coastal town in Cameroon. The event lasted for 3 hours, with the first part speaking about what is crypto, debunking the get-rich quickly preconception, to explain technical assets and daily life advantages. The second part is about Gate examples, products and presentations about Gate.io services, and philosophy.

We even had a charity event thanks to the participation of the non-profit law association CREDA.

Latin America: Latin America is ready for crypto, booming crypto adoption

Brazil & Chile

As the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency continues to grow in Latin America, the need for crypto adoption and education to beginners cannot be overemphasized. Offline event was a great opportunity for the local community to learn the basics of cryptocurrency and how they can start their journey on crypto.

Dec 10th, 2022, on the same day, two meetups were happening in Latin America. Gate.io, as the cryptocurrency infrastructure provider with a big market in Latin America, we hosted our first meetup both in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in Valparaiso, Chile.

Attendees were in a very interactive session. They learned about the fundamentals of blockchain, how to make passive income on Gate.io, trading fundamentals, and the crypto regulation and adoption in Latin America and much more!
