Organized by first-year students from UP Diliman as part of their class requirements for Arts 1, the event aimed to educate students on the environmental implications of NFTs, with a special focus on the "Gate Charity x Upcycle Artist JR Ocean Protection NFT (Philippines)" initiative.   The event drew a diverse audience, primarily composed of students and faculty members from UP Diliman, especially those interested in environmental sustainability, NFTs. Gate Charity was honored to have Miss Mai Ngo speak for 30-45 minutes, shedding light on the environmental implications of NFTs. The discussion centered around the vital role these technologies play in climate action, dispelling myths and highlighting their actual environmental impact.   The specific topic of focus was how NFTs can be harnessed within the realm of art to protect the environment. The event showcased the "Ocean Guardian x JR" collection by a talented local artist, emphasizing its significance in environmental conservation efforts.  The audience was well-prepared with a basic understanding of NFTs, allowing for an in-depth exploration of advanced and specific topics related to environmental sustainability.  The event's overarching goal was to provide a comprehensive understanding of how NFTs can be leveraged for environmental benefits. Gate Charity aimed to inspire students to consider innovative approaches to their art and environmental initiatives, contributing to a more sustainable future.
