With margin sharing across multiple trading types within the Unified Account, PNL are offset and allow to open new positions with unrealized profits, which greatly increases the capital efficiency. **Launched on November 17th, 2023, Unified Account has been offered to users whose VIP tier are 3 or above** and whose spot assets are no less than 1,000 USD. You can upgrade to the Unified Account via multiple entries: the 「**Margin Trading**」switch on the spot trading page, the 「**Upgrade Now**」tab in the assets section, and the 「**Account Upgrade**」in Wallet - Spot Account. For more details, please refer to the upgrade procedures of Unified Account in Help Center. If you have already enabled Multi-Currency Margin Mode in Spot Wallet, your account will automatically upgrade to the Unified Account and the account mode settings will remain the same. For app users, if you have enabled USDT Perpetual in the Multi-Currency Margin Mode, we will remind you to upgrade to the version of 5.9.10 or above to avoid abnormal display of futures positions due to incompatibility issues. For Portfolio Margin Account users, you will not be affected. For those who have not activated Portfolio Margin Account before, no matter what VIP tier you are at, we will not provide any entry to Portfolio Margin Account after Unified Account is launched. Meanwhile, we plan to end support for Portfolio Margin Account at the end of 2023. There will be an official announcement by then.
