The event, titled "Development Entrepreneurship Based on Local Resources & Local Wisdom in Air Batu Village," was a vibrant testament to the synergies of local wisdom and sustainable development within the context of UNESCO Global Geopark Merangin.  This collaboration was set against the backdrop of Geopark Merangin's rich cultural diversity, biodiversity, and geodiversity. The highlight was a comprehensive batik training program for the women of Air Batu Village. This program was not just a skill-building exercise; it was a step towards economic empowerment and community inclusivity. By focusing on traditional motifs in batik, the initiative seamlessly integrated the village's cultural heritage, boosting its identity and tourism appeal.  The impact of this training went beyond cultural preservation. It provided a new economic avenue for women, who were traditionally engaged in household roles, introducing them to batik production as a complementary livelihood. This approach was in harmony with the village's rhythm, allowing batik production to coexist with the primary agricultural and plantation activities.   Two batik motifs created during this period have been monumental for Air Batu Village. These motifs, which received intellectual property rights protection from the relevant authorities, are a proud representation of the village's natural and cultural heritage. The "Air Batu" and “Buluh Batuah Sayak Baguno” motifs are not just designs; they are narratives of the village's identity, its natural wealth, and its artistic aspirations.     As the event wrapped up, it left behind a legacy of empowerment and cultural vibrancy.
